A thirty-year detour through corporate India that became the work.
The first ten years were spent in pharmaceutical sales. Raptakos, Brett & Co. The territory was Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Medical Rep, then Eidikos, then Zonal Business Manager. The lesson — earned slowly — was that no field force runs on incentives alone. Every team that performed was held together by a leader who had decided to be the change before asking the team to.
Then IMS Health (now IQVIA), Chennai. Zonal Manager Operations. The work was data accuracy at scale — taking a 62% accuracy baseline to 89% across the zone, and standing up India's first Nursing Home Census in the process. Best Zonal Manager that year. The lesson was that operations leadership is sometimes a quieter form of behaviour change — when the data improves, the team that produced it also improves.
PharmaForce International, then. Stood up a KPO from scratch. Won the first project within thirty days of incorporation. Then TCS — six and a half years inside the largest Indian IT services company. The first mandate was a rescue. The Wolters Kluwer account — twenty-five million dollars in annual revenue — was on the verge of client pullback. The brief was to save it. Six months later it was stabilised. Gross margin had moved from 25% to 70%. The second mandate was a build. The Microsoft account stood at eighty thousand dollars when it was handed over. By the time TCS was left behind, it had grown to thirty million. The team scaled from fifteen to a hundred and twenty-five. Won "Best Executed A&I Enterprise BPS Engagement" in FY2015. Course5i for nine months — Microsoft, GE, Walmart, Hindustan Unilever, MetLife, Lenovo as clients.
January 2017 was the pivot. After twenty-three years inside corporate roles, the work that mattered most across all of those years had been the one-on-one conversations with leaders trying to step into a job their organisation had not finished preparing them for. So Nirvedha was founded — Sanskrit for the deeper insight that pierces. The mandate was narrow on day one and has stayed narrow: senior leaders only, six-month engagements only, behavioural-and-systemic work only.
Underneath the coaching practice has always been an intellectual lineage that does not fit the usual coaching frame. Vedanta provides the discipline of inward attention. Quantum and classical physics provide the explanatory frameworks for what otherwise looks like coincidence — entanglement, dissipative structures, wave-particle duality. Organisational psychology provides the evidence base. Eight published research papers carry the work into peer territory. The Organisational Physicist title is the convergence of all four.
Outside the work, the body matters. Half marathon personal best of 2:00. The full Randonneur brevet series — 200, 300, 400, and a 600-kilometre solo ride. Two ultra-cycling races finished at #1 — the Great Himalayan Ultra and the Deccan Cliffhanger — both with a student named Niharika Reddy who had never cycled seriously before being coached. The body teaches what the boardroom does not — patience, the long curve, the uncomfortable middle. Family lives in Hyderabad.
